Council:
Help Shape Saint Matthew’s Future
Responsibilities: This team is often the ears and voice of the church. You are responsible for helping make sure our mission, vision, and strategic plan are at the forefront of our community. You will also hear from the community and act as an active communication channel for the congregation to the leadership. You will be asked to bring expertise from your career and passions to help the church function with wholeness and excellence.
Legacy Fund Committee:
Furthering the Vision of Saint Matthew
Responsibilities: The Saint Matthew Legacy Fund is an endowment fund established to support the mission and ministry of Saint Matthew in perpetuity to spread the word about Jesus on a variety of levels.
Assembly Representatives:
Represents Saint Matthew for the denomination
Responsibilities: Attentive listening in the annual conference setting, voting, and contributing to the synod direction.
Mission Committee:
Creating partnerships for our neighborhood mission
Responsibilities: The Saint Matthew Mission Committee focuses its energy on partnerships, strategy, finances, and evaluation. The team meets 5-6 times a year, on a bi-monthly basis or more as needed to help create and implement a shared vision and imagination for a mission strategy in the life of the congregation.
Nominating Committee:
Connecting our mission partners with opportunities to serve
Responsibilities: Identify and solicit candidates for open positions. Review responses from interested prospects. Meet, interview, and vet each interested prospective candidate for every role. In collaboration with church leadership, confirm candidates and provide names to church administration for the congregational vote.
