Join us for the first HOLY SMOKES BBQ competition in Walnut Creek, CA, a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned event.
This year’s event will feature a 2-meat competition: Ribs as a KCBS sanctioned event and Tri-tip as an ancillary. There are prizes valued up to $2,000!
This one day celebration will feature bands, brew, and barbeque.

Don’t miss this tasty event as Saint Matthew in Walnut Creek is transformed into a BBQ paradise. Who knew the church could have this much fun?
Presented by the Saint Matthew Lutheran Church and sanctioned by The Kansas City Barbeque Society.
KCBS Competitors have to enter both meats (pork ribs and tri-tip). Teams are encouraged to arrive Friday but can arrive before 6am on Saturday to setup. The cost to enter the competition is $100 per team.
Note: Teams needing power should bring their own generator!
