Scripture Signing | March 9th & 16th

As always, the purpose of the ministry of construction is to help us remain focused on the fact that it isn't about the buildings but what will take place within and through them to transform lives. The Prayer Stones are in the foundation (watch video below), and already we are beginning to hear stories about how some of the people named on the rocks have been impacted (and if you have a story to tell, please let us know!).

If prayer helps lay a foundation to support our faith, our faith journey is certainly guided and shaped through our reading of the scripture. And so it seems fitting that the walls of the buildings would be covered in our favorite Bible verses, blessings and prayers. This is the opportunity we have on Sunday, March 9th and Sunday, March 16th.

After each of the worship services, you will have a chance with your family and friends to enter one of the new buildings. Be sure to watch your yourself, and especially your children, carefully as this is a construction site. There will be Bibles, concordances (to help you find your favorite verse) and pens. Pick a verse, choose a pen, find some space on one of the walls, and write away. If you have a blessing or prayer for the new building or the ministries that will take place there, feel free to write that as well.

While all of these verses, blessings and prayers will be covered with drywall, texture and paint, they can't help but impact the spirit of the ministries that will take place there, just as the knowledge of the verse you have written can't help but change how you look at that building.

Blessings,
Adriene Iverson (e-mail)
