become a partner in the vision and mission of Saint
Matthew? What are our values and basic beliefs?
How do I begin or continue to grow spiritually?
How do I become a part of this community of faith?
Where should I be involved? Get the answers to
these questions and more. If you are new to Saint
Matthew or have been here awhile and never made a
commitment, please join us for these 2 sessions and
then decide if you want to become a partner
in our

Gardenside Room from 9:30 –10:30 am. A closer look
at scripture exploring what it means to be a “humble

Adventures with Jesus: 11:00 am in Gardenside Room.
Four week study of some of the
basics. All new Mission Partners are especially
encouraged to come as well as others hoping to meet

Developing a Deeper Devotion to Christ: Begins
April 11 at 11:00am
(first Sunday will begin at 11:30) This group
is comprised of many recent Mission partners, eager
to meet others at Saint Matthew. Consider this
a great group in which to grow and invest in new
friendships. Ends May 30.Hosted at
Janet and Christer Jansson’s home near church.

Living the Life:
Every other week 4:30-6:00 pm, beginning April
19 at Pierce’s home. Study and discussion to
strengthen faith and make spiritual practices
an integral part of our lives. Leader: Nancy

Study and Serving: 7:00-8:30
pm, Formerly led by the Ashlocks, this group will
now be led by Jim Vandersloot. A new study will be
selected after Easter. This group is also active is
serving in the Monument Corridor. Begins April

Grandmothers Group:
9:45-11:15am in the Red Classroom. Bible study and
prayers for grandchildren . Study of hymns.
Outreach projects include layette and literacy

take a new passage of scripture and learn to
pray it. Explore this new way to be still and
listen for God. No previous experience

goodies and fellowship in the Gardenside Room from

fun and completely non-threatening group of men as
they enjoy each other’s company and look at some
aspects of faith together. Both non-alcoholic and
alcoholic beverages served. Give this

Study of Hebrews: (for men
and women) Friday nights from 7:00-9:00 pm at the
Thiemanns. Expand on the sermon series and examine
similarities to those dangerous times for the early
church to today’s dangerous times. Just as
they were called to live differently, hope more
fervently and trust completely, how does that
challenge us today? How do we live out the dangerous
stories? Begins Friday April 23.

Walking Group for Women : Are you
looking for other women to walk with or some
consistency and interesting conversation or maybe a
training regime? Whether you are a newbie or a
serious walker, come to church north parking lot at
8:30 am , beginning Saturday April 17 and
join others at your pace. Coffee stop at the end if

in the Park: Moms of
little ones will gather with the kids at various
parks this year. Begins in May. Add your email to
the list. All moms (and grandmothers) invited.
Layette Ministry:
Donate layette items by May 9 and help assemble
layettes on May 11, 7:00 pm at church. Sign up at
the Welcome Center.
Men’s Breakfast: Saturday
May 15 in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 am
Young Couples Group:
A new group will be forming this summer for monthly
couple potluck dinner and discussions. Register if
interested.
Outflow Outreach week: May 2-9

retired and semi-retired. Monthly activities, field
